Zohaib Asad, a student of Beaconhouse, earned 28 As in the University of Cambridge International O-Level Examinations in 2011. He overtook a record of 23 As, also set by a Pakistani student from Islamabad Ibrahim Shahid.
Asad is currently enrolled at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he is pursuing an undergraduate degree in economics and international development. He said that he was determined to return to Pakistan after completion of his education to serve the country that has given so much in life at an early age.
Zohaib Asad became an ‘Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award Winner’ after gaining higher marks in Cambridge ‘O’ level exams in the course ‘Human and Social Biology’. Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has presented a cheque of Rs1 million as a token of appreciation.
