Meesha Shafi is a renowned and a talented actress, model and singer. She made her movie debut in ‘’The Reluctant Fundamentalist’’ a Hollywood flick directed by Mira Nair. The movie was a moderate success. Then she worked in an Indian movie name by ‘’Bhaag Milka Bhaag’’ which was a critical and commercial success.
‘’Waar’’ was released on Eid which was a huge box – office success. It is held as the highest grossing movie of Pakistan. In this movie she portrays the character of Laxmi who is an Indian spy agent and analysis wing’s operative drew critical appraise.
Meesha Shafi was born on 1st December, 1981 Lahore Pakistan. She is the daughter of television actress Saba Hameed and Syed Perveiz Shafi. Apparently she is the step daughter of actor Waseem Abbas. She has appeared in many television ads commercials which include Coca – Cola, Fanta, LG Mobile Phones, Mobilink, Allied Bank, Lipton Tea and many others to add in the list.
Meesha has married the guitarist of the group name by Overload Mahmood Rehman. She has a daughter name by Janevi. She did her A’ Levels from Lahore Grammar School and earned a degree from National College of Arts. She has been paired with Arif Lohar on Coke Studio Pakistan Season 3 with the song Alif Allah (Jugni) which was viewed on YouTube 13 million times. To this date it is the most viewed Coke Studio song used in several movies such as Cocktail, Diary of a butterfly and Jugni.
Other than this she has joined the group of Strings, Ali Azmat, Shahzad Hasan and Alamgir as a jugde. The show was aired on ARY TV by the name of ‘’Cornetto Music Icons’’.
