OSLO: After grabbing many awards
in the last year except Nobel Peace Prize, 16-years old Malala
Yousafzai has been listed among the nominees again for this year’s Nobel
Peace Award.
The
Nobel Committee has released the list of nominees for Nobel Peace Prize
2014, and Pakistani girl has been listed for the second consecutive
time for this title.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and US
intelligence official Edward Snowden are also included in the list of
278 nominations, highest by far in the history of this award.
Out of these 278 candidates for Nobel
Peace Prize run, 47 are the organizations and rest ones are
personalities from across the globe.
The Swat Girl was also shortlisted to
win the title in 2013, but it was awarded to Organisation for the
Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) for dismantling of the Syrian
chemical weapons.
Malala rose to global fame when she was
shot in the head by Taliban in October 2012 and was included and
shortlisted for last year’s Peace Prize on being activist of girls’ education rights.
