The KPK Government has decided to install a modern and sophisticated chairlift between Naran Valley and Lake Saiful Maluk to reduce the 18 km distance between the two tourist spots and make it more accessible and attractive for local and foreign tourists. To this effect a meeting was held in Peshawar with Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in the chair. With installation of chairlift the distance of one hour drive will be reduced to just 5-6 minutes that it will also enable the tourists to have a broad view of the scenic and attractive landscapes.
Similarly, it has also been decided to install chairlift in Malamjabba valley of Swat and another from Shogran to Seripaye in Tehsil Balakot whereas the concerned quarters have been directed to review the prospects of launching helicopter service to important tourist resorts of the province including Malamjabba.
The meeting reviewed in detail various matters relating to make the climatic hill stations and spots more attractive for tourists as well as promote sports activities at Tehsil level while a number of decisions were made to this effect.

The Chief Minister directed the authorities to always set a deadline for the completion of each task and attend meetings with results oriented reports adding that, “We have talked too much about policies and strategies and now the public should practically see the results and fruits of its outcomes”.
The Chief Minister was informed that as per his directives consultancy service had been hired for installing chairlift from Naraan to Lake Saiful Muluk and the revised PC-1 of the project feasibility had been prepared which would be submitted within a couple of days.
The Chief Minister directed to advertise it on international standards within two weeks and to complete the project under public private partnership in collaboration with TCKP, SDA and BoI.
Similarly, he directed the concerned high ups to proceed with the project of installing chairlift at MalamJabba and construction of a three star hotel over there and to benefit the offer of assistance from PAF and Australian government in this regard.

About the establishment of theme park in Galyat it was told that GDA has offered to provide forty kanals of land at Changla Galli but the theme park actually needed more land ranged from eighty to hundred kanals.

The Chief Minister directed to resolve the issue within a couple of days. He further directed the GDA to include all the three schemes of chairlifts in the proposed master plan for Galyat.

On the suggestion of provincial minister for sports, the Chief Minister gave approval to transfer the supervision of historic swat Serena Hotel from C&W deptt to TCKP and directed the quarters concerned to submit a summary to that effect.

He also directed to hold decisive talks with the concerned federal departments to dispose off the issue of taking custody of the PTDC Motels in the province by the provincial government.

While presenting report about the implementation of the Chief Minister’s directives for setting up sports stadiums at Tehsil level, the directorate of sports informed that the already existing stadiums in 33 tehsils would be improved while a PC-1 of Rs 3.90 billion had been prepared for the construction of new sport stadiums in the rest of 36 tehsils.

On the suggestion of vice chairman investment board, the chair directed to also set up sports stadium at the vast play ground of Khanaspur and to utilize all the lands of abandoned godowns of food department for sports activities.
