RIYADH: Twenty nine people were injured when a Saudi Arabian Airlines plane made an emergency landing at Madinah airport early Sunday, officials said.
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said 18 of the injured were treated at the airport while 11 were taken to hospital. A Saudia spokesman, who did not give his name, said three people were seriously injured. GACA said the Boeing 767-300ER flight from Mashhad in Iran, carrying 315 passengers, made the emergency landing at dawn Sunday after the pilot reported a malfunctioning rear wheel.
