A policeman who punched a suspected shoplifter in the head before pinning her to the ground has been sentenced to a community order. CCTV footage shows PC James Kiddie grabbing the woman by the hair, and – in the scuffle that follows – he then punches the woman three times as she lies on the ground.During the trial he said the woman had bitten him on the finger.
